Angry Iranian Protesters Gathered in front of Saudi Mission in Tehran

Alwaght- Iranian protesters gathered in front of the Saudi mission in Tehran on Saturday. On late March, two teenagers Iranian pilgrims were sexually harassed by the Saudi police in Jeddah Airport. Saudi police insulting behavior towards Iranian Umrah Hajj pilgrims is not unprecedented.

Protestors called on the Saudi authorities to punish rapists, and demanded the Saudi King apologize. They also urged the closure of the Saudi embassy in Tehran and expulsion of the Saudi charge de' affairs.

According to According to Fars News Agency, protestors chanted slogans against the Saudi regime, and called for halting the Iranians' visit to Saudi Arabia for Umrah pilgrimage to Mecca.

"Today, the Iranian nation has gathered in front of the ISIL-affiliated Saudi embassy to show solidarity with the two Iranian teenagers who were insulted, to make the al-Saud hear our protest, and they demand the embassy's closure within the next 48 hours and immediate expulsion of the Saudi embassy's charge de' affairs," a statement issued by the protestors said.

Also, two of the young protestors climbed the walls of the Saudi embassy and mounted the Iranian flag and a number of placards on the wall.

A minor conflict also erupted between the protestors and the law enforcement police which ended soon.

The gathering wrapped up after 4 hours.
