4 Bomb Attacks Hit Baghdad as Iraqi Army Advances on ISIS-Held Mosul

Alwaght- Two people have been killed and seven more wounded in three separate bombings in Baghdad on Tuesday, Iraqi News reported.

Alsumaria News quoted a source as saying that two explosive devices went off near a commercial area in Basmaya, southeast of Baghdad, killing a civilian and wounding three others. Another bomb exploded in Uwairij in the south, wounding two.

The source, who asked for anonymity, said a fourth bomb exploded on the side of a road in Tarimiya, north of the capital, targeting a police patrol, killing a policeman and wounding two others.

Violence surges in Iraq with the emergence of ISIS terrorists who took over large areas of the country in 2014. Baghdad has been witnessing almost daily bombings and armed attacks targeting civilians and security personnel.

No one claimed responsibility yet for the Tuesday bombing yet, but ISIS terrorist group has claimed wave of terrorist attacks that have hit Iraqi capital and other cities in the country just over the last week.

ISIS has resorted to bomb attacks and similar tactics in Iraq as the terrorist group is driven out of its last stronghold in Iraq, Mosul.
