Alwaght- Militant groups resorted to attacking residential areas after losing ground to the advancing Syrian army on Saturday.
The terrorist group of Fatah Halab fired several missiles towards the government-held Mogambo and Al-Mohafaza districts in western Aleppo after losing a lot of ground to the Syrian Arab Army.
The mortar attack killed at least three civilians in the western parts of the city, military sources said. Another 20 people were also injured during the attacks.
Frustrated with their inability to stop the government advance in east Aleppo, terrorists and militant groups are resorting to attacks on civilians to increase pressure on government and extending fear among residents of the city.
These attacks against the civilian population will likely increase in the coming days, as the militant groups continue their daily harassment of western Aleppo.
Syrian northern city of Aleppo, since 2012, has been divided between government forces on the west and terrorist groups on the east.
Syrian national arm has begun an extensive operation supported by Russian air strikes to cleanse terrorist groups and reunite the city.
