Alwaght- Yemeni forces supported by the forces of Ansarullah resistance movement attacked two Saudi military bases and took control over them in the Kingdom’s southern border region.
Two Saudi military bases were attacked in the Asir region near Saudi southern borders and a military vehicle was destroyed, an unnamed Yemeni source said on Sunday.
In another retaliatory attack by Yemeni forces on Saturday, several Saudi border guards were killed in nearby regions.
Yemeni army also shelled a position of Saudi mercenary fighters in the Kingdom’s southern Najran region, killing a large number of troops stationed there.
Earlier in the day, Yemeni forces launched missile attacks at a Saudi base in the region, destroying it and causing a large number of casualties.
Yemen fighters launch these attacks in retaliation to Saudi Arabia’s relentless airstrikes in the country which have been carried out since March 2015. The war was launched in an unsuccessful attempt to reinstate Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who has resigned as Yemen’s president. The UN puts the death toll from the military aggression at over 10,000.
