ISIS terrorists kill 200 civilians in the Iraqi northern city of Mosul as national army closes in on them

Alwaght- ISIS terrorists kill 200 civilians in the Iraqi northern city of Mosul as national army closes in on them, Turkish Anadolu news agency reported on Monday.

Iraqi parliament member, Intisar Al-Jabouri said the victims were detained and later slaughtered because they refused to fight for against the national army.

National army supported by national police force, Popular Mobilization Forces and Kurdish Peshmerga units initiated a long awaited operation to liberate Mosul form ISIS terrorist.

The ISIS has been controlling the second-largest Iraqi city since 2014. It is the last ISIS stronghold in Iraq and losing it could mean a total defeat for the group in the Arab country.

The army has been successful in liberating villages and towns near Mosul as ISIS terrorists are reported to flee the city with their families.

There have been reports that the group is moving civilians from surrounding villages to settle them near its military positions inside the city to use as human shield.
