Alwaght- Saudi Arabia is behind the scenes of all crises in the West Asia region, said a Yemeni activist in International Conference in Support of the People of Yemen.
Ahmed Al-Moayyad, political analyst and commentator, in an interview with Bahrain Mirror, stated "The major reasons for what is happening in Yemen, Bahrain, Syria, Iraq and Lebanon are all linked to one another in terms of the conspiring party," referring to Saudi Arabia.
Touching on Saudi Arabia's aggression on Yemen, Al-Moayyad said Riyadh's military crimes "are uncountable; the Saudi bombarding does not distinguish between military or civilian targets."
He also accused Saudi media of not showing the reality of what is happening in Yemen, and said they are "promoting an image that is completely contradicting to reality".
The Yemeni activists, whose country has been bombarded by neighboring Saudi Arabia since 26 March 2015, said that Al Saud aims to occupy Yemen and impose its political ruling on the Arab state.
He also compared Riyadh's' atrocities to those of Tel Aviv, saying "Saudi Arabia is dealing with Yemen exactly as the Israeli enemy is dealing with the Gaza Strip, through the blockade and media blackout, violating their territorial sovereignty."
When asked to comment on Bahraini level, Ahmed Al-Moayyad indicated that Bahraini people are hapless in the face of crisis that has hit their country since 2011 as Manama is supported by Riyadh.
He accused Saudi Arabia of launching Bahraini crisis through fueling sectarian rift in order to achieve its political goals.
"This of course leaves a lot of future scars that would build up in communities. One should tackle politics with politics and not sectarianism, whose repercussions will not leave future generations in peace," he added.
Regarding the conference, Mr. Moayyad stated, "The conference today is attended by a variety of journalists, human rights activists, politicians and lawyers. We wanted through this conference to break the silence and media blackout by the Saudi Arabia and its media outlets."
