Terrorist Attacks in Sinai, in the Favor of Israeli Regime Interest

Terrorist Attacks in Sinai, in the Favor of Israeli Regime Interest

Alwaght - The Takfiri militiants who killed 44 people in terrorist attacks on Egyptian security forces in North Sinai, are aiding the Israeli regime with their actions.

Egyptian security officials said at least 44 people were killed and over 80 others injured after militants carried out attacks on army and police targets as well as an office of a daily newspaper in the strife-stricken Sinai Peninsula.

Two Egyptian army officers were also injured when an army convoy was targeted with mortar shells in the border town of Rafah.

Over an hour later, there were reports of another ambush on an army convoy just south of Rafah. Gunmen also reportedly attacked a checkpoint in Rafah.

Earlier on Thursday, fierce clashes broke out between militants and Egyptian army soldiers in the town of Sheikh Zuweid, situated 334 kilometers (214 miles) northeast of Cairo. The violence lasted for over an hour, and completely destroyed an armored vehicle belonging to the Egyptian military.

Ansar Bait al-Maqdis militant group, Egyptian affiliate of the terrorist Takfiri group ISIS, claimed responsibility for Thursday's attacks.

A state of emergency has been declared in the northern part of the Sinai Peninsula since a militant attack on an Egyptian army checkpoint killed more than 30 soldiers in October 2014.

The Egyptian military considers the Sinai Peninsula a safe haven for gunmen who use the region as a base for their “acts of terror.” Therefore the residents living along the border between northern Sinai and the besieged Gaza Strip have been ordered to relocate. The Egyptian army is also razing over 800 houses in the area to create a wider buffer zone with Gaza.

Ansar Bait al-Maqdis, has claimed responsibility for most of the terrorist attacks in the region.

Experts say the terrorists carrying out attacks in Egypt’s volatile Sinai Peninsula are aiding Israeli regime.

It is said, that such terrorist moves are aimed at keeping Muslim and regional countries busy with secondary issues and distracting them from the main and top priority of the Muslim world that is support for the Palestinian people.

Experts believe the aim of such terrorist attacks is to create more tension between the Egyptian political and military officials and the Muslim Brotherhood and consequently their Palestinian affiliate Hamas.

After these terrorist attacks the movement of the besieged Gazan people into the area has been harder.

An Egyptian security official said that troops opened fire on Gazans who had illegally crossed into the Egyptian Sinai, where the army has created a buffer zone to prevent the movement of militants.

Attacks of that kind also urges Sisi’s government to close tunnels to Gaza (especial in Rafah), through which food and supplements were translocated from Egypt to support the besieged Gazan people.

All these actions taken by Egyptian army in response to the terrorist attacks serve the interest of the Israeli regime, which adds to the belief that the Takfiri terrorist groups are once again aiding Israel in Sinai as they are in Syria and Iraq.

Many Muslim leaders denounced terrorist attacks across Egypt’s volatile Sinai Peninsula, urging regional countries to reinforce their unity in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
