ALWAGHT- Iran's Armed Forces said repeated threats from Trump point to a US strategic dead end, mounting military strain, and Washington's inability to meet its goals against Iran.
Iran's Armed Forces General Staff and the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, the country's top joint operational command, said Tuesday that US President Donald Trump's remarks on Iran at the UN General Assembly were "merely a tool for domestic propaganda." In a joint statement carried by state media, the two bodies said his rhetoric reflected Washington's strategic difficulties in its aggression against Iran and would not change the calculations of power.
The Armed Forces argued that repeated US claims and threats, amid mounting exhaustion within the American military, were evidence of a broader strategic impasse. They said continued US military and political pressure had failed to alter the balance of power or achieve Washington's objectives against Iran, adding that Iran remains fully prepared to respond to any further attacks with "more severe, crushing and unpredictable" strikes against the US and Israel.
The statement contrasted Iran's regional role with that of the US, calling Iran an "anchor of security" while accusing Washington of fueling instability through its "illegitimate presence" in West Asia. It also accused the US of holding the global economy hostage to offset repeated failures in its aggression against Iran and in maritime operations, arguing that Washington's military and economic policies are increasingly imposing costs beyond the battlefield.
