ALWAGHT- Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri condemns the latest Israeli escalation in southern Lebanon, calling for a unified national response to the ongoing attacks.
Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri condemned recent Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon, saying they demonstrate that Israel disregards agreements, laws, and efforts to end hostilities. The attacks on Ansar and Deir al-Zahrani killed at least nine people and wounded 11, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry.
Berri described the strikes as massacres, saying they targeted civilians, including women and children, and were part of an ongoing campaign against communities, homes, and infrastructure in southern Lebanon. He called on Lebanese political forces to respond to the escalation through a unified national approach free of sectarian and partisan divisions.
The remarks come amid continued Israeli attacks across southern Lebanon despite negotiations and arrangements aimed at ending hostilities. Lebanese officials have warned of ongoing violations, including strikes, shelling, and the destruction of homes and other civilian sites, while urging greater national unity and action to protect the country.
