ALWAGHT- Egypt's and Russia's top diplomats held a telephone conversation regarding the progress of talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov held a phone consultation on Monday. According to an Egyptian Foreign Ministry statement, the two officials exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional and international developments. They explored ways to enhance their strategic partnership across various sectors and emphasized elevating joint cooperation.
The discussion reviewed regional developments, including the progress of Iran-US negotiations. Abdelatty stressed the need to support all efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions, relying on dialogue and diplomacy to reach understandings that address all parties' concerns. Both sides concluded by affirming the importance of continued coordination and consultation in the coming phase to support regional and international efforts for security and stability.
