US Orchestrated Iran’s Economic Meltdown to Incite Unrest, Report Claims

ALWAGHT- The Libertarian Institute alleges that the Trump administration deliberately engineered an economic meltdown in Iran to incite unrest and weaken the country ahead of a joint US-Israeli military operation.

According to a new analysis from the Libertarian Institute, the Trump administration's "maximum pressure campaign" against Iran was not simply a sanctions regime but an active plot to trigger civil unrest. The report cites Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who admitted before Congress that the US deliberately created a dollar shortage in Iran, leading to a major bank collapse, currency freefall, and runaway inflation—which he directly linked to Iranians taking to the streets. The report also notes that President Trump himself confessed to Fox News that the US "sent guns to the protesters, a lot of them," suggesting a deliberate strategy to provoke a government crackdown and loss of life.

The analysis further details active Israeli involvement in destabilizing Iran, quoting former CIA head Mike Pompeo openly acknowledging Mossad agents walking alongside Iranian protesters and an Israeli minister stating, "our people are working there right now" to undermine the regime. Drawing a historical parallel to the 1953 CIA-orchestrated coup, the report characterizes these actions as designed not for peace but for "war and poverty, destruction and death." It also criticizes Trump for being allegedly deceived by Israeli tactics into approving a US-led war against Iran based on "farcical" intelligence—assumptions that CIA Director John Ratcliffe reportedly called "farcical" and Secretary of State Marco Rubio dismissed as "bullshit."

The report concludes by questioning whether Americans want their nation's every act "clouded in suspicion," warning that such "machinations of overweening arrogance" will ultimately backfire and leave the United States further isolated on the world stage.
