ALWAGHT- The Iranian Embassy in London firmly dismissed a Daily Telegraph report claiming that Tehran was ready to lower uranium enrichment levels, labeling the allegations as "baseless" and part of a wider disinformation effort.
The Iranian Embassy in the UK issued a statement condemning a recent Daily Telegraph article that claimed Iran was willing to reduce uranium enrichment to 20% purity to avoid the re-imposition of UN sanctions.
The embassy stressed that the report relied on "vague and unreliable sources" and offered a "distorted and misleading portrayal" of Iran’s nuclear program. It also criticized the British newspaper for publishing "unsubstantiated" material, warning that such reporting undermines both journalistic integrity and public trust.
The embassy noted that it had formally requested a correction and equal space for its official response. Iran has consistently affirmed that its nuclear program is entirely peaceful and has no plans to halt uranium enrichment, emphasizing that it will not yield to pressure or threats of sanctions.
