Israeli Airstrikes Claim 46 Lives in Gaza in 24 Hours as Civilian Casualties Rise

ALWAGHT- Local sources and health officials report that at least 46 Palestinians have died in Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, with attacks escalating in Khan Younis and other regions.

Israeli airstrikes on Gaza continued to escalate on Saturday, claiming the lives of at least 46 people in the past 24 hours, with 19 killed in Khan Younis alone. Among the victims was a Palestinian journalist. An Israeli drone strike also targeted a house in central Khan Younis, injuring several others, while rescue workers combed through rubble in search of survivors.

The majority of recent attacks have focused on Khan Younis, where residential buildings and shelters were struck, resulting in the deaths of many women and children. The situation in Gaza is worsening, with civilians facing shortages of food, water, and medical supplies. Hospitals are overwhelmed, and with no aid entering the region for over a month, conditions for the population are rapidly deteriorating.

The United Nations has reported that since the ceasefire was broken on March 18, Israeli forces have been killing or wounding 100 Palestinian children daily. As of now, at least 1,309 Palestinians have been killed and 3,184 injured since the ceasefire collapse, bringing the total death toll since October 7, 2023, to over 50,000.
