Iran Condemns Trump’s Plan to Forcibly Remove Gazans from Their Homeland

ALWAGHT- Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has denounced US President Donald Trump’s proposal to forcibly transfer Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Jordan and Egypt.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei condemned former US President Donald Trump’s proposal to forcibly relocate Palestinians from Gaza to Egypt, Jordan, and other Arab nations. He argued that the so-called “cleaning out” of Gaza is part of a broader colonial agenda aimed at annihilating the Palestinian people, facilitated by American military, financial, and political support. Despite Israel’s prolonged campaign of genocide, he emphasized that Palestinians have resisted displacement and remain committed to their struggle for self-determination.

Trump’s remarks, suggesting that relocating Palestinians could bring peace to the region, have sparked widespread condemnation. He claimed to have discussed the idea with Jordan’s King Abdullah II, proposing the construction of housing for more than a million displaced Gazans. However, both Egypt and Jordan have firmly rejected the plan, labeling it as ethnic cleansing. Since October 2023, nearly all of Gaza’s 2.4 million residents have been internally displaced, with over 47,300 killed—mostly women and children—by Israeli attacks.

Analysts warn that any efforts to relocate Palestinians would serve as a pretext for Israel to permanently expel them and repopulate Gaza with Israeli settlers. Israel recently agreed to a ceasefire after failing to achieve its wartime goals, including the elimination of Palestinian resistance. Critics argue that forced displacement would further entrench Israeli occupation and undermine Palestinian sovereignty.
