Israeli airstrikes have intensified in Gaza, claiming at least 88 lives in the past 24 hours and bringing the three-day death toll to over 200, with civilians, including women and children, making up the majority of casualties. Strikes targeted residential areas, marketplaces, and street gatherings, leaving widespread destruction. Victims include journalist Mohammad Hijazi and multiple families trapped under rubble, highlighting the heavy toll on non-combatants.
Specific attacks were reported across Gaza, such as drone strikes in Rafah, bombardments in Gaza City and Deir el-Balah, and a deadly strike near a market in Khan Younis. An airstrike on a tent site in Deir el-Balah killed three, while another hit the Bureij refugee camp, killing four outside a UNRWA school. Hospitals in Gaza are overwhelmed, struggling with severe burns, shortages of medical supplies, and a mounting number of fatalities.
Since the onset of Israeli operations on October 7, 2023, Gaza’s Health Ministry reports over 45,805 Palestinians killed and 109,000 injured. The escalating violence has drawn attention to the devastating impact on civilians and the critical humanitarian crisis in the region.
