ALWAGHT- Israeli media report that Hezbollah's rockets have struck and damaged over 60% of buildings in Metula.
For a year and two months, the settlement faced intense daily fire and anti-tank missile attacks from Hezbollah.
The settlement was turned into a closed military zone after suffering significant damage from Hezbollah’s operations.
Over 450 homes in the settlement were affected, with at least 60% of their structures damaged.
Metula Mayor David Azoulay described the current situation, stating, “We are in a very complicated situation and don’t truly know what remains in Metula due to the destruction.”
Azoulay compared it to the Har Tzvia neighborhood, near Odaisseh and Kfar Kila, where at least 75% of the 100 homes have been impacted, many requiring demolition.
In total, 20,000 damage claims were filed in northern Israel, with direct damage to the occupied north estimated at more than 2 billion shekels (over $550 million).
