ALWAGHT- A senior IRGC general stated that Iran is "certain" to retaliate against Israel in response to the occupying regime’s recent aggressive actions against the country.
Brigadier General Ali Fadavi, Deputy Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), spoke on National Student Day, an occasion marking the 1979 takeover of the US embassy in Iran, at an event at Sharif University in Tehran. He indicated that Iran is planning a retaliatory action against Israel, called Operation True Promise III, though he refrained from disclosing specifics, stating that it would "certainly be carried out."
Fadavi emphasized Iran's longstanding commitment to defending the oppressed and opposing oppressors, a stance Iran has maintained for over 45 years. He affirmed Iran’s belief in standing on the “right side of history” by supporting this principle and insisted that this commitment would continue.
The IRGC commander also commented on the global awareness of the Gaza conflict, asserting that recent events have exposed 76 years of misinformation about the situation. Fadavi noted widespread protests in 91% of countries, highlighting a global recognition of the Zionist regime as an occupying force responsible for displacing Palestinians and endangering civilians.
Fadavi’s remarks follow warnings by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei to both the United States and Israel, cautioning of a severe response to any future aggression. In recent actions, Iran launched 200 missiles targeting Israeli facilities in response to targeted assassinations, while Iran’s air defense intercepted an October 26 attack on its territory. The Iranian government has asserted its right to defend itself and respond to any hostile acts.
