Iranian and Turkish Bankers Stress Strengthening Bilateral Banking Ties

ALWAGHT- The central bank governors of Iran and Turkey underscored the importance of strengthening their bilateral banking relations.

Mohammadreza Fazin, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), and Fatih Karahan, the Governor of the Central Bank of Turkey, met on the sidelines of the 6th meeting of the central bank governors from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states in Istanbul on Monday.

During their discussions, they explored ways to enhance economic and banking cooperation between Iran and Turkey.

Additionally, they addressed the current state of economic growth and inflation among OIC member countries and examined the implications of utilizing new technologies in electronic banking.
