ALWAGHT- The defense ministers of Iran and Syria stressed the importance of ongoing and close cooperation between Tehran and Damascus in the fight against the Zionist regime, particularly given the international community’s subdued response to Israeli atrocities.
In a telephone conversation with his Syrian counterpart on Sunday, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh reaffirmed Tehran’s commitment to supporting Syria’s territorial integrity and ensuring security within the Arab nation.
Emphasizing the shared interests of Iran and Syria and their support for the resistance axis, Nasirzadeh criticized the inadequate response of international organizations to the Zionist regime’s actions in Gaza.
He highlighted the necessity of continued collaboration between Iran and Syria, asserting that such cooperation will inevitably lead to the defeat of the Zionist regime.
In response, Syrian Defense Minister General Ali Mahmoud Abbas reaffirmed Syria’s determination to maintain strong relations with Iran. He praised Iran and other countries in the resistance axis for their support of Syria and its security, noting the interconnectedness of security between Syria and Iran.
Abbas condemned the Israeli regime for its numerous human rights violations in Gaza, Syria, and Yemen, citing the international community’s inaction and negligence. He expressed confidence that enhanced cooperation between Syria and Iran will strengthen their position against adversarial forces and enable them to confront the threat more effectively.
