China emphasizes support for all efforts to establish peace in the Middle East

Wang Yi, China's Minister of Foreign Affairs, stressed China's backing for all endeavors aimed at ending conflicts, promoting peace in the Middle East, and establishing an independent Palestinian state.

During a press conference discussing his recent visit to four African countries, including Tunisia and Egypt, the Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed, "China condemns any actions causing harm to civilians and stands against violations of international laws."

As reported by Xinhua News Agency, Wang Yi addressed the situation in the Red Sea, expressing China's desire for an end to disruptions of non-military vessels. He urged the involved parties to avoid exacerbating conflicts by refraining from adding fuel to the fire.

He also advocated for a collaborative effort to safeguard maritime navigation routes in compliance with the law and urged all parties to genuinely respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Red Sea coastal countries, including Yemen.

In discussing the events in Gaza, the Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that "the matter of Palestine has consistently been central to Middle Eastern affairs, and China firmly supports the just cause of the Palestinian people in reclaiming their legitimate national rights and their enduring aspiration for the establishment of an independent nation."

It is noteworthy that Wang Yi had previously underscored his country's objection to the collective punishment and displacement imposed on the people of Gaza by the Zionist regime during a United Nations Security Council meeting. He emphasized the imperative of establishing an independent Palestinian state.
