During their bilateral discussions on Monday, the Foreign Ministers of Russia and Iran condemned the attacks carried out by the United States and the United Kingdom on Yemen.

On Monday, Sergei Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, engaged in a telephone discussion with his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, regarding the ongoing developments in Western Asia.

According to a statement released by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during this telephone consultation, the two sides discussed and deliberated on the economic, commercial, and transportation relations between the two countries. They also explored preliminary steps towards a new agreement between Moscow and Tehran.

According to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lavrov and Amir-Abdollahian, expressed condemnation for the intense attacks on Yemen led by the United States and the United Kingdom. They underscored the imperative need for a ceasefire and the prompt dispatch of humanitarian assistance to the oppressed people in the Gaza Strip.

As highlighted by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Foreign Ministers of Russia and Iran reaffirmed their dedication to fundamental principles in their bilateral ties, which encompass the principles outlined by the United Nations concerning the respect for each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Reported by Sputnik, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Sergei Lavrov and Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Foreign Ministers of Russia and Iran, held a telephone discussion addressing the heightened tensions in the Middle East. They vehemently criticized the widespread attacks by the United States and the United Kingdom on Yemeni territory.

The Foreign Ministers of both nations stressed the importance of an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and guaranteeing unrestricted humanitarian access to facilitate the swift delivery of aid to the affected civilian population.
