Alwaght- China said on Wednesday to retaliate the US trade war measures, after a source said the Trump administration proposes slapping 25 percent tariffs on $200 billion of imported Chinese goods.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang told a daily news briefing in Beijing that US pressure on trade won’t work, and that Beijing has always upheld using dialogue to resolve trade issues, Reuters reported.
The news agency cited an unnamed American source, as saying on Tuesday that Trump administration plans to propose slapping a 25-percent tariff on $200 billion of imported Chinese goods after initially setting them at 10 percent, in a bid to pressure Beijing into making trade concessions.
They include food products, chemicals, steel and aluminum and consumer goods ranging from dog food, furniture and carpets to car tires, bicycles, baseball gloves and beauty products.
