Alwaght- Syria has vowed to continue in its war against Takfiri terrorism and its backers across all the country until full victory is attained and peace is restored, Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem has said.
Speaking in Damascus on Monday during his meeting with Iranian Leader's Adviser for International Affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati, al-Moallem reviewed the latest developments in Syria, hailing the significant military victories achieved by the country's heroic army in cooperation with the allies and the friends.
He pointed to the liberation of Deir Ez-Zor City one of the latest in a string of defeats faced by ISIS terrorists in Syria.
Al-Moallem expressed Syria’s appreciation for the great support provided to it by the Islamic Republic of Iran in the country's war on terror.
Al-Moallem and Velayati discussed mutual ties between Iran and Syria and regional issues where both sides reiterated the necessity of strengthening coordination to further enhance the victories achieved by the resistance axis and its allies in the face of terrorism and its backers.
For his part, Velayati affirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue to stand by Syria on all levels and support it in the battle against terrorism.
He extended congratulations on the recent victories against ISIS terrorist organization in eastern Syria which represent a victory for the resistance axis in the region and a defeat of the Zionist-US project and it backers.
