ALWAGHT- According to an American media outlet, the administration of US President Donald Trump is contemplating halting all ongoing military aid shipments to Ukraine.
The Washington Post, citing sources, reported that military aid shipments could be suspended “in response to remarks” made by Vladimir Zelensky during a meeting with Donald Trump at the White House, as well as due to “his perceived intransigence in the peace process.”
If implemented, the decision would affect “billions of dollars” worth of radars, vehicles, ammunition, and missiles awaiting shipment to Ukraine under the presidential drawdown authority, according to an anonymous official discussing the sensitive matter.
Earlier on Friday, Zelensky met with Trump at the White House, but their televised exchange unexpectedly escalated into a heated argument. Trump criticized Zelensky for showing disrespect to the US, while Vice President JD Vance accused him of never expressing gratitude for the support provided to Kyiv. A planned news conference was canceled, and the Ukrainian delegation departed earlier than scheduled. As a result, bilateral talks and the signing of an agreement on Ukrainian mineral resources were disrupted.
