Deadliest Saudi Single Attack on Yemen Killed 44, Injured 180
Alwaght- Saudi-led Airstrikes targeting the Supreme Command of the Armed Forces in the Yemeni Capital Sana’a killed and injured hundreds on Sunday.
“The warplanes have been hitting military targets since 1:36am, our houses are not far from these locations, there is barely any breaks between the strikes,” Yemen Times quoted a residents in Hansh.
Local sources reported more than 15 strikes on military sites in Mount Attan southwest of Sana’a and a military camp in Bani Hushaish area southeast of Sana’a that left 44 killed and 180 injured, according to the ministry of health, a week ahead of UN-backed talks that aim to end the monthslong aggression on Yemen.
It was one of the deadliest single attacks since the Saudi-led aggression began on March 26 that has claimed lives of thousands of Yemeni civilians and injured tens of thousands women and children . Residents said that many neighboring houses and shops were destroyed in Tahrir area.
Heavy clashes have been reported on the Saudi-Yemeni borders between the Saudi regime army and Ansarullah fighters. On Saturday popular committees launched a Scud missile targeting the Prince Khaled air base in the Saudi south-western city of Khamees Mushait.
