ALWAGHT- The Iranian Intelligence Ministry says security forces have dismantled four more operational cells belonging to a terrorist group in Sistan-and-Baluchestan Province.
Iran’s Intelligence Ministry says a joint operation by intelligence and law enforcement agencies dismantled four hideouts linked to a terrorist group allegedly affiliated with US and Israeli intelligence networks. Authorities said 15 key members were arrested across several cities in Sistan-and-Baluchestan before they could carry out planned attacks.
According to the ministry, the suspects were allegedly preparing to target public infrastructure and essential services to create insecurity in the province. Security forces also seized a quantity of weapons and ammunition during the operation.
The ministry thanked local residents for providing intelligence that helped the operation and said security agencies remain on high alert to uncover additional terrorist networks and any domestic collaborators. It also linked the intensified counter-terrorism campaign to recent regional tensions involving the US and Israel.
