ALWAGHT- The Strait of Hormuz played a decisive role in Iran's deterrence strategy during the recent war of aggression by the US and Israel, an Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) spokesperson said.
Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi said Iran's Nasr-2 Operation inflicted heavy damage on US military bases across the region, leaving them paralyzed and significantly reducing Washington's operational capabilities. He added that Iranian strikes on US radar systems blinded American forces and weakened their military infrastructure throughout West Asia.
Mohebbi claimed the United States had concealed the true extent of its casualties during the conflict, alleging that more than 200 US troops were killed. He also accused Washington of falsely claiming to target military sites while instead striking civilian infrastructure in Iran, and criticized some Persian Gulf Arab states for allowing their territory to be used in the US-led attacks despite Iranian warnings.
The general also accused Ukraine of involvement in an attack on an Iranian commercial ship, warning that Tehran would respond and that the incident would not go unanswered.
