ALWAGHT- According to an informed source in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy, all shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has been suspended.
An informed source in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy said the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed to vessel traffic until what it described as hostile actions by the United States come to an end. The source said no transit permits are currently being issued.
According to the source, maritime traffic through the strategic waterway has fallen to zero, and any vessels attempting to cross the strait, particularly those deemed to be in violation, would face action by Iran's Armed Forces.
The source also claimed that several vessels attempting to transit the strait with US military support had recently been confronted by Iranian forces, reiterating that the restrictions would remain in effect as long as US actions continue.
