ALWAGHT- Iran has rejected fresh US allegations over its nuclear and missile programs and disputed reported death tolls from recent riots, calling them “a series of big lies” and condemning what it described as a coordinated disinformation campaign.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei accused the United States and Israel of deliberately fabricating a false narrative about Iran, saying repeated allegations are meant to create an “illusion of truth.” He described the claims as a coordinated disinformation campaign designed to mislead public opinion.
Baghaei was responding to remarks by US President Donald Trump, who alleged that Iran is rebuilding its nuclear program and developing ballistic missiles capable of threatening the US, Europe, and American bases. Baghaei rejected these accusations, calling them “big lies,” including claims about Iran’s missile program and casualty figures from recent unrest.
The comments come amid heightened tensions, as Washington increases its military presence in West Asia while maintaining a “maximum pressure” strategy. Despite the escalation, Iran says it remains committed to a diplomatic solution, with new talks scheduled in Geneva, while warning it will respond decisively to any military action.
