Iranian IRGC Frigate Joins Joint Naval Drill with Russia in Caspian Sea

ALWAGHT- A frigate from Iran’s IRGC joined a combined maritime rescue and relief drill conducted by Iranian and Russian navies in the Caspian Sea.

The IRGC Navy’s frigate Martyr Basir is taking part in the joint exercise named CASAREX 2025. This vessel is expected to play a key role in the rescue and relief operations throughout the drill.

The maritime exercise began on Monday and will run for three days. It is hosted by the Iranian Navy’s northern fleet under the theme “Together for a Safe and Secure Caspian Sea.”

Participants include personnel from the Iranian Navy, IRGC Navy, Iran’s Law Enforcement Command, and the Russian Navy, with observers from Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan also attending. The drill aims to enhance maritime security and safety while strengthening cooperation among the naval forces of the Caspian region.
