ALWAGHT- On the sidelines of the second day of the BRICS foreign ministers' summit, the foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia met and exchanged views.

On the second day of his visit to Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, Ali Bagheri Kani, the Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met and engaged in talks with Faisal bin Farhan, the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting occurred in Russia on the sidelines of the BRICS foreign ministers' summit.

They discussed bilateral, regional, and international issues and explored ways to strengthen cooperation.

Saudi Arabia is one of the countries invited by BRICS to become an official member. Relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia were restored during the thirteenth administration following Riyadh's request for mediation from Beijing.
