Shift in US Behavior towards Cuba

Sunday 12 April 2015
Shift in US Behavior towards Cuba

Alwaght-U.S. President Barack Obama met for an hour Cuban President Raul Castro on Saturday, the first time the two nations' top leaders sat dawn in nearly 6 decades.

The meeting hold in a small conference room on the sidelines of the Summit of the Americas in Panama was welcomed by American media calling it "new era of US-Cuba ties".

Obama also called it "historic," saying the two countries can end the antagonism of the Cold War era.

However, after decades of bullying other countries to make them follow US policies, it seems that US has came to this conclusion that not only this approach has done nothing to the benefit of US but also it has ignited hatred against US all around the world. US is changing its approach toward Cuba, the same thing that US has done facing Islamic Republic of Iran.

However US is arrogant enough not to confess to this shift in its behavior and tries to save its face. Obama, like it predecessors, in an apparent meddling in other countries internal affairs said "I was very direct with him that we are not going to stop talking about issues like democracy and human rights and freedom of assembly and freedom of the press.
