Alwaght- Syrian forces managed to kill dozens of terrorists in 48 hours in the northern city of Aleppo during clashes to reunite the city.
As part of the offensive to cleanse the Aleppo city from terrorist groups, the Syrian national army launched attacks on positions of different groups in the last 48 hours, killing at least 166 terrorists.
The so-called Syrian Observation for Human Rights reported that of the 166 dead, only 86 were Syrian nationals.
The statistics further proves the foreign roots and of the terrorist groups that captured parts of Aleppo in 2011.
Without giving a definite number, the local army sources stated that the terrorist groups did suffer a significant number of casualties during the 2nd phase of their offensive.
Jaysh Al-Fateh launched the 2nd phase of its Aleppo offensive earlier this week, targeting the western corridor of the city in order to lift the siege on the eastern neighborhoods.
The Syrian army launched operations to reunite the government-held western part and the eastern section of Aleppo on September 22.
Since March 2011, Syria has been gripped by a militancy it blames on some Western countries and their regional allies.
