Alwaght – One of the high ranking Saudi Princes abruptly rejects all his positions and assignment in what he called preventing a “controversy".

Prince Khaled bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud the nephew of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud posted his resignation on social media and left all his administrative, honorary and commercial posts.

He did not elaborate on his reasons, though apparently threatened to reveal the events behind his decision "if forced".

The move is considered another sign of expanding power war among royal family member in the already troubled Saudi Arabia.

The princes in the country seem to be deeply divided over important issues including the war on Yemen and its economic impact on the nation. Saudi Arabia has the greatest budget deficit among G20 countries.

Khaled bin Talal bin Abdulaziz is the third son of Talal bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi king’s brother. He is also the brother of prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, a media mogul.

The current king stepped on the throne after the death of former King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in January 2015.
