Alwaght – Syrian Government and Russia have assigned seven corridors for delivering humanitarian aids to Aleppo, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov said on Monday.
Another corridor is also assigned especially for the fleeing rebels to exit the city currently under siege by the Syrian army.
“Each day water, food and essentials are delivered to local residents through seven special corridors,” he told reporters.
“The eighth one is open near Castello Road for armed militants to leave the city,” Antonov said.
Syrian army, supported by Russian air force, closed its siege on Aleppo on Sunday and managed to take control of armament academy in the south of the city.
The Russian military have been conducting the humanitarian operation in Aleppo for a month now, he said.
“The question of providing humanitarian aid to all Aleppo residents, despite the ongoing talks between all parties concerned, has not lost its relevance,” Antonov said
