Alwaght- The Lebanese resistance movement announced on Saturday that Takfiri’s artillery bombardment in Syria killed Mustafa Badreddine, Hezbollah’s top military commander.
Hezbollah said in a statement that the explosion “which targeted one of our positions near the Damascus International Airport and led to the martyrdom of Sayyed Zulfikar, the martyr leader’s nom de guerre, was caused by an artillery bombardment carried out by Takfiri groups stationed in the region.”
Stressing that the martyrdom of top commander will boost the resolution to fight against takfiris, the statement added: “The outcome of the investigation will only increase our determination and will to continue the fight against these criminal gangs…”
Shedding lights on the origin of terrorists in Syria, the statement reads it is a single battle against the American-Zionist project in the region, which terrorist Takfiris represent its spearhead.
On Friday the martyrdom of senior commander, Hajj Mustafa Badreddine in Syria was announced.
In 1992, he became the commander of Hezbollah central military unit and started forming military formations and devising plans. Badreddine prepared many operations against the Israeli Regime, including clashes and post incursions which forced the Israeli army to withdraw in 2000.
The 55-year-old Hezbollah commander was the cousin and brother-in-law of top Hezbollah commander Imad Mughniyeh, who was assassinated by Israel in 2008.
On Friday, Hezbollah held a military funeral for him in southern Beirut.
