Gaza Death Toll Reaches 73,399 Amid Ongoing Israeli Attacks

ALWAGHT- Israeli attacks across Gaza killed five Palestinians and wounded 18 others over the past 48 hours, as a worsening shelter crisis continues to affect more than 2.15 million displaced people.

Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip killed five Palestinians and wounded 18 others over 48 hours, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. Additional victims remain trapped beneath collapsed buildings and on roads, where rescue crews have been unable to reach them.

Fresh Israeli attacks injured several Palestinians, including a child, in al-Mawasi west of Khan Younis. Gaza City’s al-Tuffah neighborhood also came under artillery fire, while Israeli aircraft carried out strikes east of Gaza City and artillery targeted areas south of Khan Younis.

The latest casualties bring the death toll since the October 11 ceasefire to 1,265, with 4,198 injuries and 813 bodies recovered. Since the Israeli aggression began on October 7, 2023, Gaza’s overall toll has reached 73,399 deaths and 174,310 injuries, according to the Health Ministry.

Meanwhile, more than 2.15 million displaced Palestinians face a worsening shelter crisis, with over 867,000 living in worn-out tents. Gaza’s Government Media Office has called for temporary housing, insulation materials, and weather-resistant tents to be allowed into the Strip, while stressing that reconstruction remains essential.
