Alwaght- Several Palestinians held captive in Israeli Regime Prisons declared hunger strike on Saturday.
Announcing hunger strike in Nafha, Raymond, Eshel, and Negev prisons, Palinfo.com quoted Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) as saying that the hunger strike came in protest against the Israeli brutal attack on Palestinian prisoners held in section 14 in Nafha jail, the PPS explained in a statement issued on Saturday.
Earlier Tuesday, dozens of Palestinian prisoners were injured after Israeli Special Forces stormed section 14 in Nafha prison.
Several injured prisoners were transferred to Soroka Hospital while others were arbitrarily moved to solitary confinement.
The PA committee for prisoners and ex-prisoners affirmed that large numbers of heavily-armed Israeli Special Forces suddenly and violently stormed section 14 and attacked and sprayed the prisoners with pepper gas.
Lately in 2015, Palestinian journalist Muhammad al-Qiq was arrested from his home in al-Khalil and was subjected to tough investigation for 20 days before being held into administrative detention which forced him to declare a hunger strike. Al-Qiq has announced that he is determined to continue his strike till his release at any costs.
This is not a new event in occupied Palestine while earlier in july 2014, a leading figure in the Islamic Jihad political party Adnan, who launched on an indefinite hunger strike on April 6, was detained by Israeli regime forces at his home in Arrabeh, in the northern West Bank.
According to human rights group report which documents Israeli violations against Prisoners over 2015, stating that Israeli forces carried out nearly 600 violations just against journalists in occupied Palestine since the beginning of 2015.
During the reported period which focused on Journalists rights, Israeli forces killed 2 journalists and shot and injured 190 others while 85 journalists were arrested including a foreigner.
