Alwaght-The Palestinian resistance factions demanded on Monday that Palestinian Authority security police in the West Bank to confront and shoot Israeli regime troops.
During a press conference, the factions expressed solidarity with the journalist prisoner Mohammad al-Qeiq who is on a hunger strike at the Israeli jails, warning against the consequences of harming him.
Meanwhile thousands of Palestinian on Monday took part in the military funeral procession of Palestinian Authority police officer Amjad Sukkari, who was shot dead the day before when he shot and wounded three Israeli soldiers west of Ramallah.
Mourners marched from Rafidia hospital to Shuhada Square in the northern West Bank city of Nablus, chanting national slogans applauding Palestinian "martyrs." They reportedly waved Palestinian flags as well as photos and posters of Sukkari.
Sukkari, a PA staff sergeant in Nablus, was shot dead after he shot and wounded three Israeli regime troops at a military checkpoint near the illegal Israeli settlement of Beit El outside Ramallah.
Witnesses told Ma'an that Sukkari opened fire on the soldiers when his car was stopped at the checkpoint.
Elsewhere a Palestinian youth was shot dead by Israeli regime forces on Monday after he allegedly attempted to stab an Israeli soldier south of Tulkarem.
Palestinian medical sources identified the teenager as 19-year-old Ahmad Hassan Tuba from the village of Kafr Jammal near Tulkarem.
The Palestinian deaths come amid the violent incidents that have gripped the occupied Palestinian territories in the recent past. Almost 165 Palestinians have been killed and hundreds more have been injured since Israelis began their crackdown on the Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip in October last year when the third uprising or Intifada began.
The Intifada includes a wave of attacks against Zionists in retaliation of the Israeli repressive measures against the Palestinians across the West Bank and especially in al-Quds. Zionist settlers backed by occupation forces have been repeatedly storming and desecrating the holy al-Aqsa Mosque, sparking Palestinian anger.
