ALWAGHT- Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, will travel to Geneva to participate in the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament.
Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf will lead a parliamentary delegation to the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva, where he is scheduled to deliver a speech and meet with foreign counterparts. The event will gather 112 delegations, including 96 parliamentary speakers, highlighting its global importance.
Organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union in partnership with the United Nations, the conference will take place from July 29 to 31 at the Palais des Nations. Established in 2000, it serves as a key platform for dialogue among parliamentary leaders, aiming to enhance global governance and bridge the democracy gap in international affairs.
The conference’s theme, “A world in turmoil: Parliamentary cooperation and multilateralism for peace, justice and prosperity for all,” will guide discussions among top legislators, alongside leaders from international organizations, academia, civil society, and the media.
