Iran’s Leader Medals IRGC Commanders Who Seized US Marines

Alwaght- Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has awarded the commanders of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) naval forces for arresting trespassing US Marines.

On Sunday in a meeting hosted by the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei praised the brave action of Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi, commander of the IRGC Navy, and four other high-ranking commanders by conferring the medal for arresting the 10 US sailors who illegally entered Iran’s territorial waters.

"You did a brilliant, interesting and timely job. In fact, this event should be considered God’s work. He drew them towards our waters so that with your timely measure, they would be arrested in that manner – with their hands on their heads," stated by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in a meeting with the youth of the IRGC Navy.

On January 12th, IRGC have seized two of the US Navy boats and arrested ten marines after entering the country’s waters.

Reports say IRGC naval forces seized the US Navy boats two kilometers inside Iranian territorial waters while they were prying around.

However, after the Americans apology for the incident, the IRGC released On January 13 ten American sailors, including nine men and one woman
