ALWAGHT- The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) spokesperson firmly rejected recent claims by US President Donald Trump that secret negotiations had taken place with IRGC officials, describing the allegations as “fantasies stemming from desperation and defeat.”
IRGC Spokesperson General Mohebbi rejected US President Donald Trump’s claims that Washington is holding backchannel talks with IRGC officials, saying no dialogue is taking place between the two sides.
Mohebbi said diplomatic matters fall under other institutions of the Islamic Republic and added that, according to Iran’s Foreign Ministry, no negotiations with the United States are currently underway there either, citing Washington’s repeated breaches of commitments.
He dismissed Trump’s statements as psychological warfare and said such claims would not change realities on the battlefield. Mohebbi accused Trump of seeking to influence global oil and energy prices, while insisting that Washington’s only option is to accept defeat and meet Iran’s conditions.
