ALWAGHT- Iran's IRGC announced the disabling of several radar systems in Kuwait as part of the newest phase of its ongoing retaliation for what it called US aggression against Iranian territory.
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said its 24th wave of Operation Nasr-2 targeted multiple US-linked radar systems in Kuwait, describing the strikes as part of ongoing efforts to degrade regional radar networks supporting US military operations. It said the operation disabled an early-warning radar, a tactical radar complex near Ali al-Salem Airbase, and another radar system on Bubiyan Island.
The IRGC said the targeted radar systems were rendered inoperable and stressed that its campaign against what it called the aggressor would continue. The strikes were described as part of a broader effort to weaken regional surveillance capabilities used against Iran.
Earlier the same day, the IRGC said it had destroyed additional US military radar, communications, and air defense assets in Kuwait, including long-range radar installations, satellite communications systems, missile defense radars, an FPS-117 radar, a Patriot air defense system, and facilities at Ahmad al-Jaber Airbase.
The IRGC said the operations were carried out in response to what it described as repeated US violations of Iranian territory since April, including alleged breaches following a Pakistan-mediated memorandum of understanding. It also accused Washington of supporting unauthorized vessel movements through the Strait of Hormuz and vowed continued retaliation.
