Iran Maintains Missile, Drone Production Amid Active Operations

ALWAGHT- The spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces said missile and drone production is continuing while the country's military carries out retaliatory operations.

Major General Abolfazl Shekarchi made the remarks during a Wednesday meeting in Tehran with cultural figures who had organized rallies in support of the Islamic Establishment.

The continuation of missile and drone production during active military operations reflects the separation between Iran's defense-industrial base and its operational military forces. Maintaining production while conducting combat operations enables the armed forces to replenish expended munitions, build strategic stockpiles, and sustain operational readiness over an extended period. This approach is intended to ensure that ongoing military activities do not interrupt the long-term supply of weapons and equipment.

Iran has spent years expanding its domestic defense industry in response to international sanctions and restrictions on arms imports. The country has increasingly relied on indigenous research, manufacturing, and reverse engineering to produce a wide range of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles. Iranian officials frequently present the continued operation of these production lines during periods of heightened military activity as evidence of the resilience of the country's defense sector and its ability to sustain military capabilities despite external pressure.
