Iran to Host International ‘Minab Lullabies of Awakening’ Festival

ALWAGHT- With the participation of Iran’s Islamic Culture and Communications Organization, the inaugural International "Minab Lullabies of Awakening" Festival will invite mothers across the globe to record lullabies for Minab’s children.

The secretary of the International "Minab Lullabies of Awakening" Festival, Maziar Rezakhani, said the event will feature both domestic and international sections, inviting mothers from around the world to submit lullabies. He said the festival is based on the universal bond of maternal love, which transcends national borders.

Rezakhani said the festival aims to draw attention to the attack on Minab during the war launched by the US and Israel in early February and to counter what he described as efforts to conceal or distort the incident. The call for entries will be released soon, allowing artists worldwide to participate.

He added that the event is intended to keep global attention on the tragedy at Shajareh-Tayyebeh primary school in Minab, where at least 168 schoolchildren and teachers were martyred in a US strike on February 28. According to Rezakhani, the festival offers artists and supporters of the cause a platform to commemorate the victims.
