ALWAGHT- Iran issued a firm warning that it will maintain its management of the Strait of Hormuz and retaliate by targeting twice as many sites if attacked by the United States.
An informed security source has stated that Iran has adopted a new military and strategic doctrine, reaffirming that it will not relinquish control over the Strait of Hormuz and is prepared to defend its management of the strategic waterway.
According to the source, any future attack on Iranian territory or interests would trigger an immediate response under the new framework, including the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to maritime traffic and retaliatory strikes against at least two enemy targets for every Iranian target attacked. The source also said Iran would only reopen the Strait under its own conditions and would not accept alternative shipping routes outside its control.
Separately, Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters warned that any support for US military operations against Iran would be considered a legitimate target. Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf also accused Washington of violating the Iran-US memorandum of understanding, citing actions related to the Strait of Hormuz, sanctions, military strikes, and regional tensions, while declaring that Iran would not yield to US pressure.
