ALWAGHT- Iran has officially rolled out a new framework for managing vessel passage through the strategic Strait of Hormuz, according to media reports.
Iran has launched a new maritime governance system for the Strait of Hormuz, under which all vessels intending to transit the strategic oil shipping chokepoint will receive an email from the official address info@PGSA.ir outlining the rules for passage. Ships are now required to adjust their operations accordingly and obtain a transit permit before crossing. The initiative, described as a sovereign governance system, is now fully operational in the strait.
