ALWAGHT- Foreign Minister Araghchi states that military threats do not lead to successful diplomacy; no decision on US negotiations has been reached.
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated that no direct contact has been made recently between him and US regional envoy Steve Witkoff, and Iran has not submitted any request for negotiations with the United States.
Araghchi emphasized that negotiations cannot be effective under threats or excessive demands and must take place from an equal position based on mutual respect and reciprocal interests.
He rejected the use of force as a means to achieve political objectives, stating that such an approach is not diplomacy.
Iran maintains continuous and regular contact with regional states, and there is a shared understanding across the region that military threats would lead to widespread instability in West Asia.
