ALWAGHT- Iran's Foreign Ministry strongly condemns Argentina's accusations against Iran's Armed Forces, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Iran's Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned Argentina's decision to designate a section of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, calling it unjustified and harmful to national security. The ministry described this move as illegal, driven by external pressures from the Zionist regime, and set a dangerous precedent in international diplomacy.
The Foreign Ministry emphasized that this decision not only jeopardizes bilateral relations but also has legal ramifications for Argentina. They criticized persistent allegations surrounding the 1994 bombing of the Argentine Jewish Center (AMIA) and contended that these actions are aimed at distorting the facts and obscuring the true perpetrators of the incident.
Iran reaffirmed the legitimacy of the IRGC, asserting that it operates in defense of Iran’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security. They also condemned the US and Israeli campaign to undermine the IRGC.
Argentina has cultivated strong ties with Israel under President Javier Milei, who has backed the Israeli regime's continued genocidal actions against Gaza and recently declared that Argentina would join a few countries that have relocated their embassy in the Israeli-occupied territories from Tel Aviv to Al-Quds.
