ALWAGHT- A fresh wave of Israeli airstrikes hit targets across southern Lebanon, including six strikes in the Iqlim al-Tuffah area alone.
Israeli warplanes launched a new wave of airstrikes across southern Lebanon on Wednesday, targeting multiple areas including Tebna in the Sidon district and Wadi Houmine in Iqlim al-Tuffah. At least six strikes were recorded in Iqlim al-Tuffah, with Israeli aircraft and drones reportedly flying continuously over areas north of the Litani River. Hostile drones were also observed over Nabi Sheet, while local sources noted machine-gun fire from Israeli positions toward Kfar Shouba.
The strikes followed heightened Israeli aerial activity earlier in the day, including low-altitude reconnaissance flights over Houmine al-Tahta and circular drone patterns over Zahrani. This escalation is part of a broader pattern of Israeli violations over the past week, including deadly strikes on vehicles in Sidon and drone attacks in Yater, al-Taybeh, and Blida.
UNIFIL reports indicate that since the November 2024 ceasefire, Israel has conducted over 7,500 airspace violations and nearly 2,500 breaches of Lebanese territory. The recent attacks continue a week of escalating aggression, reflecting persistent threats to stability in southern Lebanon.
